Split Performs @ HRC Mumbai 15th April

From the HRC Blog

There’s a lot that has been said and a lot that can be said about the mad scientists that have created and feed Split. But in a nutshell, they are a bunch of good friends, a quintet of drinking buddies, and musicians that know how to floor a tune. Split was formed in 2001 and, after the usual rock 'n' roll roulette of line-up changes, broken strings, lost equipment and assorted mishaps, settled on the perfect formula for chaos

.

With Garreth on vocals, Mel and Aviv on guitars, Shekhar on bass and Nigel on drums, Split’s music has conquered stages, hearts, and minds across the country. Split's music is equally about conflict and resolution. A slick construction of wit and drunken wisdom, with baritone bass and pounded drums that chase edgy guitar riffs and screaming solos right down to a breakdown of nuclear proportions.

Split has played the pants off festivals like ‘Independence Rock’ & ‘GIR’ more than once, not to mention ‘Eastwind’ & ‘June Rock Out’ .They have also performed at events like ‘Yamaha Roxx’, ‘RSJ Pubrockfest’ and ‘Channel V- Launch pad’ and have been featured twice on India's premier Indie Unmetal compilation ‘Stupiditties’ as well as on GIR’s Volume X.
